This video is about the transformation of consumption into care. It explores the edge between ruthlessness and empathy, and how taking greedily from another can be a deeply caring act of intention - and simultaneously, deeply validating for all involved. This video is a Dionysian revelry in filth, as well as the vanquishing of deep hunger to express and be “seen.” The bottom is the meal; he is portrayed as profane - and yet, also elevated to the sacred. During the video, the attitudes of the participants shift to demonstrate the movement along this spectrum. Video concept by Finn Deerhart
